Pump position

Move your cylinder stat down - about a 1/3 up from the base is ideal. Cut carefully and fill the old cutout hole. ;)

Make sure the water level in the F&E cistern is only say 50mm above the feed outlet when the system is cold. Bend the float arm down if necessary.

yes welling up cold feed pipe not pumping over. Turned pump up to 2 and 3 and apart from bigger gulp from tank when pump switched on, not much difference. Tank gets a little warm, but I guess its bound to if the 1/23 of the system volume is expanding into the tank. Where else could it go?

Water level correct and the only bypass is an auto bypass just below the 3 way valve.

No overflow or tank level not increasing. Could all be ok? :)
