I'm wondering if its possible to 'easily' cut glass which has metal strands within the glass?

I am looking to fit a cat flap to the lower part of the door pictured below but not sure if its possible to cut the glass like normal glass with a circle glass cutter.

If its not possible I am wondering what the best next option is? Maybe precut glass getting the glazier to cut the flap hole too or maybe getting perspex instead due to it being easier to cut.

Thanks for any advice

Take measurements of the size it needs to be & get a glazier to supply the glass with the catflap in it. (give them the catflap too).
