PUTTING IN TRICKLE VENTS TO 4 STOREY FLAT

IS IT POSSIBLE TO PUT TRICKLE VENTS INTO A UPVC WINDOW FROM THE INSIDE ONLY.

THE FLAT IS ON THE TOP FLOOR OF A 4 STOREY BLOCK AND ACCESS WOULD GREATLY ADD TO THE COST.

try removing sash bring inside, fit vent safely, then reverse procedure. but please do not drop sash its a long way down
a little more difficult if friction hinges are riveted

Take the glass out before you start drilling into the casement

Hi,

I've done this recently, not 4 storey i admit but i did the upstairs windows (which were rivited) with no problem at all.

Only had to take the glass out of the 1st one, to have a look at the construction and then just drilled and grinded away.
