Want to move a radiator by 6 inches but this means having to shorten the pipes. I beleive I'll have to drain the combi system to do this, any advice that you could give me?
Thanks

close the valves on the boiler and the auto air vent and all the rads then go and play with a drip tray

DONT open both sides at the same time (yer get wet)

Wot ee means is that if you close all the places air can get in, the water will "hang" in the pipes.
Close the rad valves, drain the rad and remove it, close things as above, clean the pipes well, cut 6" out of one pipe (drip tray) then reconnect it (the neatest would be the slim metal pushfits you can get now).
Then repeat for the other pipe.
