Hi,
I need some new windows for a kitchen. Just been looking at Screwfix, but the dimensions dont say if it is HxW or WxH, does anyone know 100% which this is.
ideally, for a kitchen, it is best to have a 100-150mm upstand above the work surface. as the worktops usually finish 910-930mm above the ffl and given that window and door heads generally finish at 2100mm above floor level, you could work it out from here.
as woody has pointed out 1050 high is a fairly typical widow size.
Thanks guys, I managed to work it out in the end !!!! I need some bespoke ones as the height on mine is only 770mm, due to a low ceiling height at the wall (sloping roof).
Been quoted today £700 inc VAT for supply of the following :-
1200 (w) X 770 top opener window
900 X 770 top opener window
back door 850 X 2000 no cill, with side window 300 X 900 no opener.
All toughened e glass. White panel at bottom of door.
Does this sound about average prices or does anyone know anywhere online with better prices.
