Hi,

I have had new pvc windows installed, and i noticed because there was a hole in the plaster board in the inside that i could see through to the pvc on the outside (the pvc external facings). I was trobled and since i live on a main ringraod i was concerned about noise. The noise has increased even though my last double glazing was 30 years old. The comapny came back removed the facings and filled with foam but i am not entirely happy with this  - is this correct?

Yes. All that happened was that somebody forgot to fill the gaps with expanding foam. You're lucky to have found a good company that was willing to come back and fix the snag. Many would have put you off until you gave up altogether.

Most foams used have good noise damping properties, so you should have no more external noise polution indoors.
