I'd like to be able to detect when my Enforcer alarm has been armed so that my home automation system can run some tasks. I'm planning on using
a Shelly Plus i4 DC to do the detection. It will be powered by an external 12v plug.

Unfortunately, my installer hasn't had much success and I think entirely conincidentally, the comms board blew when we were experimenting so he didn't want to continue trying without knowing exactly how it should be done.

We have set the PGM output to Any Set.

Am I right in thinking that the voltage between PGM1 and COM on the I/O board should go to 12v when the alarm is armed, and 0v when disarmed? I think when we tested this, we saw voltage increase only very slightly (less than a volt) but I could be mistaken as we were trying lots of different things.

If this is the case, would we wire PGM1 to the Shelly SW1, COM to the Shelly ground. The external power supply would be wired to the Shelly's + and ground terminals.

From looking at the instructions, there doesn't appear to be a way of discerning if an alarm is armed in normal or night mode but can someone confirm this?

Thanks for any help

I would use a relay from the enforcer …then you can switch what ever you want to the Shelly …without adding a relay expander your stuck with the one output …

There should be different outputs for final set A, final set B etc dont know the numbers off the top of my head

I only want my Home Assistant to know the state of the alarm so it can use that as a condition for automations. I don't think a relay would help with this?

From what I can see, there isn't but would love to be proved wrong. The other challenge is there's only one PGM output as far as I can see so not sure how I'd be able to read both?

There is on the euro panels, check in the 01xx and 02xx range. You can get an output module that connects on the bus line.

And why’s that ..it’s the sensible way of doing it without damaging your control panel …

This will be my own lack of knowledge but can you explain how the relay would prevent damaging the control panel as I need to learn about this sort of thing? With the way I was planning on doing this, I was going to use a Shelly i4DC to just measure the voltage across two pins. Is that more likely to cause issues?
