qualified and trustworthy plumber in Battersea?

Hi there,

I bought a 1 bedroom flat in Battersea with central heating and moved in back in July 2008. Just been hit by my British Gas invoice which seems to me awfully high for the size of my place and my consumption (gas use only for heating as everything else is electric).

Would anyone be able to recommend me a trustworthy plumber/heating engineer in the Battersea area who could advise me on what type of boiler i should go for and would not try to take advantage of the fact i'm a totally ignorant French woman lost in boilers and heating matters translation.

Can i ask, make of boiler and Units used?
How do you control the heating? Timer? Do you have a room stat for temp control?

Used to work [ 19yrs ] in Battersea...........not any longer
