Hi.

I have 600mm stone rubble filled walls. I am planning to build stud walls throughout the whole house (external walls only), and install kingspan between joists leaving a cavity to the loft space. I understand I have to install visqueen on the warm side of the kingspan my question is how do I terminate the visqueen at the top and bottom??

The floors are both contrete and suspended timer.

Any recommendation of visqueen grade??

Help is much appreciated.

Cheers, jj

If you are using foil backed insulation, then you can just tape the joints and do away with a separate polythene vapour barrier.

Top and bottom edges can be taped, masticed (is that a word?) or just left butted
