I have some small patching to do, after removing an outside door frame - its a few very small areas, literally half a dozen or so fag packet sized chunks - so giving it a go myself.
my plan is to do a sand / cement basecoat, dry and score.
im going to use Tryolean and a roughcaster to apply after a quick practice in the back garden first - but my render seems quite chunky - almost as if their is stone in it (but theres not) - so any tips on how to give it some extra thickness would help?
Second question, might sound daft, my local builders yard only has white - the rest of it looks like a cream - but i will be painting the lot white anyway - so i assume this wont matter.
