Hi,

I've just had a couple of quotes as follows:

- Remove existing boiler
- Fit Glowworm 24hxi heating onyl condensing boiler with vertical flue
- Supply & fit expansion vessel, pressure relief valve, pressure dial & filling loop to make sealed heating system
- Powerflush heating system including all necessary chemicals & inhibitor
- Supply & fit room thermostat, themostatic radiator valve, automatic bypass & Magnaclean to help maintain clean system water
- Supply & fit 170 litre unvented direct domestic hot water cylinder complete with limescale device
- Supply & fit 3 radiators (2 x 600mm x 2000mm long double type 22, 1 x 600mm x 400mm long single type 11 radiator) with thermostatic & lockshield valves
- Fit 22mm gas pipework underfloor to serve gas cooker and boiler, and hot and cold water pipework to new position in kitchen.

£5500.00

- Supply & fit room thermostat, themostatic radiator valve & Magnaclean to help maintain clean system water
- Supply & fit 3 radiators (2 x 600mm x 2000mm long double type 22, 1 x 600mm x 400mm long single type 11 radiator) with thermostatic & lockshield valves
- Fit 22mm gas pipework underfloor to serve gas cooker and boiler, and hot and cold water pipework to new position in kitchen.

£4750.00

Are these prices reasonable? I am based in Lichfield, just north of Birmingham.

Both seem reasonable, however VERY Diffrent Spec, you need to find out what your water main Standing & working pressure is and what the flow rate is, this should help you decide whether to go for a Combi or unvented storage, other factors would be the number of people in your household, the number of bathrooms sinks etc, generally a combi can only supply 1 tap at a time without loss of flow, unvented cylinders are suited to bigger houses, but must be connected to an effective water main with good flow & pressure, so quite a bit to think about before signing on the dotted line!! ;)
