When performing the R1+R2 test, how do you (in reality) go about joining the incoming and outgoing "legs" of the RF's. Just noticed than in GN3 it just shows them twisted together

thanks,

I was thinking about trying some WAGO connectors, not used any before.

They will be arkward for a temporary joint. You are best off just using normal connectors

cheers mate,

i always imagined the levers would be quite easy to get back up.

I sometimes use the crocodile clips out my tester bag, just make sure that you have got copper to copper contact and its not relying on the clip to bridge them electrically, and make sure its in the strongest part of the jaw

But if not, then connector block is also good

I regulary use the Wago lever type connectors for continuity testing on PIRs. They are quick and make a good connection, no twisting then having to straighten conductors or screwing/unscrewing connector blocks.
I think they are great for testing and fault finding, not sure about them for permanent connections though.

I hadn't seen the lever ones before. They look like they'd be fine for testing.

I have used the WAGO lever clips before and they work well, the problem is they do eventually wearout!!!!

I have made short links out of 2.5mm and some croc clips using my lug crimpers.

Spot on!!!!!
