R50 spot light bubs

I am fed up of buying supermarket r50 ses spotlight bulbs for my kitchen which are allways failing , i must change 1 a month. Can you advise which brand good quality bulbs iI can buy so they dont blow so much.

are they on a dimmer as that limits the alternatve lamp types you can use
