Racheal Reeves

They are ending the WFA for wealthy pensioners (y)
Thats old news - and exactly why it was done so early - to make it old news and not bundled in with all the other bad news in the budget.

It's a standard tactic, known as storm before calm.
So what we have there is a conspiracy -- right there ! it gets leaked to the press and the press go along with it and publish it as fact.

But ajohn doesn't think she is giving the "markets" a heads up
She is by stating that the UK will be run via the tax take and not borrowing, That is an extremely important aspect as far as they are concerned.

The borrowing to invest comes about due to a business view - a gov must to achieve growth. The serious money men with many billions.

not bundled in with all the other bad news in the budget.
That aspect relates to the tax income covering the running of the UK. Until the budget is released we have no idea what she will do to achieve it. Tough decisions that might be just were money is spent. Or tough changes etc.

Radio 5 run a chat show which unlike Vines tends to be sensible rather than trying to be sensational via interviewing and egging on people who are often nutcases. A lot of people want to see improvements in expenditure in a number of areas. Tough as there is not enough money around to cover it.

high court action being taken against cutting this winter fuel allowance
Labours reply to one case started by a Scottish couple
A spokesperson for the UK government said it was committed to supporting pensioners and that millions would see their state pension rise by £1,700 during this parliament.
They added: "Over a million pensioners will still receive the winter fuel payment, and our drive to boost pension credit take-up has already seen a 152% increase in claims. Many others will also benefit from the £150 warm home discount to help with their energy bills over winter."

Also same legal company mentioned in other links
The couple were being supported by former Scottish first minister Alex Salmond, who put them in touch with Govan Law Centre and called the payment being scrapped "unacceptable".

Seems a judge has ok'd the hearing. The cut reduces the extra that England gives to Wales, Scotland and N Ireland. That's some % extra on all budgets. Out of our tax taken in England.
