Hi, we want to replace our old and dilapidated lean-to with a new consevatory. The existing lean to has our washing machine plumbed in - plumbing has been there since before we moved in. I'm now learning that that isn't okay in the eyes of building regs. So, I understand that if we build a new conservatory and want to keep the washing machine in there, it won't be exempt from building regs. What does that mean exactly? Is it possible to have a washing machine plumbed into a conservatory if we pay for building regs inspection? Or will building regs never sign off having a washing machine in a conservatory? We're also wanting to plumb in a radiator and the same questions apply- would this ever be signed off by building regs? If so, what would building regs be looking for to sign this off as okay? Thanks for any help.

Because we need the space and cant afford a full extension. The current lean to is constantly leaking and, as you say, is unusable 363 days of the year. The new conservatory would have bifold doors and a insulated roof (and hopefully a radiator) so we might squeeze a few more days use put of it. Any thoughts on building regs?
