Hi
I am planning to replace an old building built on a deck at the end of my garden, it faces on open country but needs to be raised. The deck in place now is 2ft above ground, but will have to be replaced as its made from wood telegraph posts but rotten.

I am planning to replace the deck and build on top a 3.5 x 2.5 garden room. Deck will be 6mx3m

When i build the deck what size foundations will i need for each post, i am thinking a vertical post sat in foundations every 1m, so six down each side and 3 across. posts will be 8"x6"

Any help appreciated, especially if im way of base!
