I have such a system with independent control valves for hot water and heating.
The system is 12 years old and uses a Salus EP200 electrical controller.
The system is regularly serviced and has experienced very few problems over the years.
Since turning the heating on for winter, I have observed what I think is a problem.
The radiators are not fully coming up to temperature.
I now notice that when the hot water is on the circulation pump continues to run when the boiler shuts down but when the heating is on as soon as the boiler cuts out the pump turns off.
Logically this seems wrong to me, as the boiler will retain heat and therefore not come down quickly to enable re-firing. Also, the radiators will never reach temperature.
Thanks
