Please could anybody advise us?
We have an old Rayburn 480AG that requires a new cooker burner, however Aga say this part is now obsolete and basically said to get a new one(!!). I managed to locate a secondhand one on eBay but the only local engineer I’ve managed to find in West Sussex says I also need an injector/jet that should come with the burner so that it can pair??
The eBay seller says this is rubbish and it can be attached to existing one. Does anyone understand this and can explain as the engineer has not been helpful at all. They want to charge us £1400 but only the boiler side is working! As you can imagine this has been tricky over Christmas as we don’t have an extra oven or gas hob. Any advice would be gratefully received.

I part understand what your fitter is saying and also what the ebay vendor says. As it is gas related, the post should be locked and you need to discuss further with the engineer who will need to do the job.
