RCBO Neutral lead - to cut down or not cut down?

I dont like cutting them down as the cable is usually a stranded flex type which is not ideall under the terminals of the neutral bar, and furreling the end would be a PITA each time.

In TP boards the length is never really an isse, and a quick single loop sorts it out if it is.

In SP boards I tend to do a loop which drops in behind the dinrail out of site.

As for the functional earth - It should be ID'ed with cream (as it comes out the box) and not with a protective earth colouring (green/yellow).

if you cut them down then have to re-arrange your CU the they may not be ong enough to reach from their new position..

( I've don it before where I've set up the breakers in the right order and forgot to include one for the immersion or whatever.... I like to keep the big ones closeet to the incommers..
