Fairly streight forwards, if they are single width they are usually a bit taller than an MCB. 2 module width ones are usually same height as an MCB. As with all RCDs they will require circuit neutrals to be diverted through them, they usually come with a flying lead to connect to the neutral busbar.

I've just fitted one in place of an MCB. The live wires are pretty much as they were in the MCB. The neutrals that used to go to the bar now go to the RCBO instead and the neutral wire from the RCBO goes to where the neutrals used to be. And there's an earth cable to connect also.
Just a note. Under some circumstances single pole RCBO's are not suitable for protection on TT systems so you do need to check you earthing arrangements.

My supply is 100amp wylex fuse box ,the earth goes under the ground (where to ?good )no cables overhead entering the building,so will my rcbo be ok,cheers again ,jim
