TBH I don't think they are. Both side of the cover are white paint. There is little chance of them having an earth connection

I haven’t been inside a Metal Wylex board. But I rather suspect that the front plate is no more earthed than the two securing screws through the painted metal to the (earthed,we hope) back plate.
I meant the hinged lid.

Had a look at a couple of Wylex installation videos on YouTube. I see no sign of an earth cable linking the base back box to the front panel. So maybe there’s no danger as feared by @EFLImpudence

I know the cheap fusebox brand has an earth strap to the front cover, but I can't recall on the wylex. (don't think it does)
