rcd for whirlpool

hi.

Just bought volex 13A rcd for whirlpool bath install, going to use old imm heater cable(16A mcb on board) should it come before or after isolating switch(going to use imm switch and re-mark)rcd has 2 13A fuses can I down rate both to 5A to suit pump wattage

Why dont you just remove the immersion switch and replace it with the RCD?

Re the fuse size, what fuse does the whirlpool manufacturer specify?
 
pump is 1.2hp is 5A ok for this?

is it ok for rcd to be only means of isolating(except for mcb at board)

There should be a rating plate that states the current requirements. Or in the instructions. AFAIK 1.2 hp is about 0.9KW = 4 amps so you'd need a 5amp fuse but you would also have to think about inrush current.

Yes the RCD is a double pole isolator so that is fine as the only switch.
