hiya just a quick one. on a stand alone RCD does it matter if the live in is on the left or right hand side and whether it matters whether it goes in the top or the bottom. i know that some are marked with a L or N on one side but i noticed that some have no markings on them. just wondered

If it has markings, then follow them. If not then it doesn't matter aslong as you keep both the lives on one side, and both the neutrals on the other.
