Wood glue.
You mean plain old PVA? I thought an epoxy resin, or something like Araldite might be better?
No need to go for anything as dramatic as an epoxy resin...a quality PVA wood glue is fine, but it does help if you can compress the joints with sash cramps as the glue sets.

If you don't have clamps a bit of rope tightened with a stick and rotated will pull it all together tight.
