Hi
I have a decking thats approx 24 inch from the ground , It's to small and is bowed in the middle because the muppet who built it put the legs straght onto an old lawn and they have sunk , to save myself some cash my plan is ??? To remove the decking boards and extend the subframe then re deck with nice new deck boards . the question is How do i get the bow out of the sub frame before i put some concreate pads in for the supports . Or is it simpler to just scap the whole thing and stat from scartch?

thanks

If the existing frame i in good condition then you ought to be able to put new posts in (into concrete or down onto concrete blocks) and then "jack up" the frame so it sits true.

However, if it was done that badly then there may be other problems too. Any pics?

Hi Wabbitpoo

It not good under there, went out today and had a look , there are only 5 suport posts and that includes two cornes , the joists are approx 2 meters apart .the end joist is'nt attached to the ledger board so the newl is twisting the joist so the hand rail is lose ,I could go on  I think it's a bonfire , looks like there are more screws than in B&Q and i dont fancy trying to remove them for what the framing will cost it's not worth the effort . Thanks for the Reply much apreceated
