I have grouted a bathroom floor and used a powdered grout but think I must have used too much water as it has sunk when set and now the grout line is not level with the tile.....the customer would like a slightly lighter colour anyway....my question is....Can i just grout over the top of the old grout? I have a 4mm gap. Many thanks

Ask in the tiling forum, or request mods to move the post. I suspect you will need to rake it out as 4mm will prob come out again.

i am assuming the 4mm gap you mention is the width of the grout line and not the depth, if you have a depth of at least 4 mm then YES you would get away with just grouting over the top, its NOT the correct way but it would work, i am assuming you are cleaning the grout off the floor before it has started to go off, if so then just leave it a bit longer but YES check to see that you are not using to much water in the mix
