Hi all,

Been quoted £1,100 to replace and repoint the ridge and hip tiles on my 1930s semi detached. Don't think it's been touched in nearly 100 years so starting to look a bit crumbly.
Job would take one day plus maybe some tidying up on second day. No scaffolding required.

The whole house is about 6m x 6m, very shallow roof. Easy ladder access to front and side, rear access is over a flat roof extension.

Live in South East, near Watford.

Does this sound like a reasonable quote?

Cheers!

Cheers guys.

Yep sorry I was mis-using terms in my first post.

The quote is for removing and re-bedding all the existing hip and ridge tiles, so should be a proper job, not just re-pointing (which I hear is worthless).

I would still get a couple more like for like estimates...
