Re crimpers - when you start looking you'll notice that all the budget ones look the same apart from the colour of the plastic on the handles and the name stamped thereon.

Weidmuller and Amplicon are good makes.

Yes, they look strange but the feel and action is spot-on.
When crimping you have confidence you've made a good connection unlike most other ratchet crimpers I've used which feel less positive.
