So what? They were mainly women and children, not fit young solo males. They had a genuine reason to claim asylum? Most of the Ukrainian refugees weren’t in Ukraine when they claimed asylum in the U.K.

I agree.Their line when asked about this is 'well, it's good enough for France, why not here?'
I suspect that's one thing, whether at local council or government level, they wouldn't get very far with. I don't want illegal migrants here any more than many other folk, however neither do I want them freezing their balls off in tents in the depths of winter.
And when it's pointed out to them not all migrants in France are in tents, they're stumped as to how to respond.
and 20% of claimants had a valid visa before claiming asylum.34,978 people claiming asylum in 2024 had arrived on a small boat (32% of the total). The remaining claimants will have entered either through other irregular routes (such as via lorries or shipping containers); through the common travel area without valid permission to enter; or through regular routes with either valid leave to enter (such as using a visa) or using fraudulent documents.
around 20% of people claiming asylum in 2023 held a valid visa within the 7 days prior to the lodging of an asylum claim.

Most of the boat people do/did. They got it.They had a genuine reason to claim asylum?
Also, if they were to gain power and become our UK government, do we really want a repeat of something reflecting DOGE in our country? Do we really want teams of people selected by Reform going around our public services asking every employee 'so, what is it you do?' and if the answer doesn't fit a certain criteria, that person gets the sack? It all sounds good and a certain demographic of the electorate lap that sort of thing up. However the reality of hundreds maybe thousands of people getting dumped on the dole is somewhat different. I read one piece (no I don't have the link) saying even in the States some are now questioning the actions of DOGE. Swaths of people sacked and now a realisation some of them are actually needed.
And I question how much of it a Reform government could actually do here in the UK legally when it comes to the more dramatic and instant stuff, unless they were changing laws, removing us from ECHR etc.
If you possessed a brain you would realise Ukraine hasn’t been persecuting it’s people, it is being attacked by a foreign invaderSo what? They were mainly women and children, not fit young solo males. They had a genuine reason to claim asylum?

So the fit young men leave their families for how long before they could bring them here, years? I wouldn't be leaving my wife and children in a country that persecutes their people, would you?If you possessed a brain you would realise Ukraine hasn’t been persecuting it’s people, it is being attacked by a foreign invader
The men have stayed to fight
Places like Syria, the people in power have been fighting, bombing the population and persecuting them.
Only a total ficko would try and make the comparison in terms of “fit young men”
Try using yer brain and stop embarrassing yourself FFS.
