Relocating Flue Terminal

I have recently had a central heating system installed, but unfortunately, the location of the flue (concentric, horizontal) is disturbing my neighbour as it is in close proximity to her bedroom window.

My installer is proving to be really difficult and I can't even seem to fix a date with him to come out and relocate the flue - I suggested he should now install it vertically through the roof, though it appears this won't make much difference to the noise. Thus, I guess, his reluctance to resolve the problem.

I am now trying to find another installer, but I don't want to find my self trapped into believing I will have to relocate the Heatline boiler.

Can anyone offer some advise please.

Hello

Is there anyone out there who can help with my query? Haven't received a response!

what response would you like

if you are asking for an installer then tell us what area you are from.

Want to know what options I have and, if you can recommend an installer in the Birmingham region, that would be a bonus.

I believe it will be possible to fit the flue vertically through the roof, but have since been told that this would not make much difference to the noise output.

I also think the flue could be fitted along a vertical drain pipe, but don't really know much about this?

I've spoken to a number of installers today - one suggested I insulate the walls. Another said I may have to consider moving the boiler. This chap is popping round Thursday night to provide a quote. A British Gas engineer is having a look Thursday morning.

Right now I just feel I am going to get ropped into doing something which will probably prove unnecessary and costly.

What other options are open to me? Can I add a silencer on the flue/fan? Will changing the type of flue help? Will changing the fan help? Also, is my installer liable to carry out the works (I'd assume his work was guaranteed for 12 months?).

I have a heatline boiler - it's the S24/S30 compact wall mounted combi one.

Any, any advice one can give me would be most welcome, especially before these guys make their visit on Friday.

Thanks much
