Does anyone have any experience of remote adaptors like this

I want to run some low-voltage garden lights from an existing socket in my shed, about 12m from the house. Ideally I'd like to be able to switch them from inside the house without running extra cable, so this looks like a simple solution - but I've heard that the range on these things isn't always as good as the manufacturers suggest ...

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Have heard of them before. The info says it will work through walls & ceilings, but it gives no idea of range. Give AEI a bell.
