Remote controlled pest scarer

This may not be what this section was meant for but I am looking to buy/construct a battery operated scarer, with a sound output, that I can turn on remotely from inside the house when an undesirable creature appears on the patio (mainly grey squirrels)

squirrels are easily scared but they aren't thick, so chances are it be short term.


what's your issue with the squirrel?

I'm talking about Greys, not Reds.
I live on the edge of a wood, I try to feed the birds but the squirrels get there first
I assure you I wish them no physical harm, am just trying to give every-thing else a chance!!!

I am told that birds cannot taste pepper/ chilli ?
So adding some powder to the bird seed stops the squirrels eating it?
