No answer to the other question posed and assuming it would be no can those in the know check the list of activities and let me know if I have missed anything?

problem - swmbo wants oak newel bases rather than white painted with the Burbidge Fusion handrails.

1. Remove carpets
2. Remove built in cupboard from under stairs
3. Remove floor boards from top of stairs
4. Remove mouldings along riser
5. Remove spindles / rails
6. Check for and remove any fixings from string into wall (don't expect any as it is steel studding and plasterboard.
7. Remove fixings at top of stairs
8. Lever stairs away from joist (may be sat on brick wall as joists are engineered.
9. Replace Newel bases.
10. Re-assemble stages 8-1

Will lift some floor to see how they are fixed when i get chance.
