Hi,

Any help please how to remove a stubborn tap cover?
I removed the small screw but there is no way to remove the cover, I tried to push it out, even used a hammer but it looks like is screwed on the brass valve...

You need to show us the important one.... show us the picture of when the screw's removed. It should just push up off the splined spindle.

It should come off with the screw removed. A bit of wiggling and brute force required!

thanks I will give a try later, the bloody thing looks like is glued on the valve!

Yup, you have a bit of scale/corrosion in there. Gentle persuasion will be needed. Couple of plain screwdrivers, one either side, may help to ease it off.

many thanks guys! btw, I assume WD40 won't work there, AFAIK is not corrosion eater

tap fixed! many thanks again!
BTW I used a dismantling lubricant, called 'plusgas' , really amazing.
