Removed a radiator, how to store it

Have removed an upstairs rad for decorating, it will be off for about 10 days, i drained it to get it off the wall. Can I just lean it somewhere safe, or do i need to fill it or cap it off? (dont have any caps with me - I'm a home DIY'er)

Someone at work mentioned it rusting or oxidising inside while its open to air?

In ten days its not going to get any significant rust, provided its stored indoors. Just leave it open.
Make sure you add inhibitor to the system when you put it back, although if you haven't drained the system AND it already has inhibitor in it, you might not need to add more.

It'll be fine as above. Store it upside down to stop any gunk leaking out.

I’d take the opportunity to give it a good flush out with a hosepipe.
