I am about to remove a radiator and a couple of metres of pipe permamently (I'm knocking down the wall that it's on). What should I do with the open ends of pipe that feed the radiator?

Also, when removing the rad, should I be unscrewing the nut between the pipe and the valve, or the nut between the valve and the rad? (or does it not matter?)

Thanks

Drain rad and cap off the pipes where you decide with solder or compression fittings
Unscrew any nut if you are discarding all as long as the rad is empty 8)

thanks.

I've just gone out and bought some compression fittings so I should be ok.

Is there a chance that the 2 pipes would need to be connected to each other to allow the rest of the heating system to work?
