Anyone have any tricks for this? Had a woodburner installed just before Xmas and they have smeared some fire cement on the black flue pipe. I don't want to use anything abrasive or I think it may damage the surface.

Thanks

Try using a kitchen wash up.....with some soapy water.
Try the sponge first followed by the scrubber surface if you have to. Carefully does it though, fire clay is quite abrasive!

Fire cement sets rock-hard. I've used a screwdriver and hammer to remove it. Consider spraypainting over it with heatproof paint.

Merry Christmas!
