hi

i am removing my old stairs so i can have a spiral one fitted but have to remove existing one out. it has 5 rises then a turn and turns again and another 5 rises where do i start?

handrail,spindles,newells,treads?

will i need acro's in place or should i be able to remove without?

I am not a specialist in this area (flooring is my game)

...but just a few thoughts

Aside from legal points such as planning and building regs, you will have to consider structural issues - i.e. consult a structural engineer.

My other points for you to consider are....

How will you get furniture up and down the stairs?
How will the poor carpet fitter get a big roll of carpet upstairs when you change the bedroom carpet?
What floor are you considering downstairs - fitting most flooring around a spiral staircase is a nightmare to finish neatly!

....Are you sure you want to do this?????
