I'm having a conservatory built and I need to remove my outdoor tap. How do I do this please?

Call a plumber, preferably a recommended one and he will be able to do it for you....or if you want to try it yourself,

Determine the pipe size and go to your merchants and buy a compression stop end.

Turn off the cold main to the house.

Open your cold taps on the ground floor and then on the upper floor if you have one.

Cut into the pipe that feeds the outside tap in a suitable place ensuring that it doesn't tee off anywhere else after where you cut it.

Put stop end on pipe, tighten, turn cold back on gradually and check for leaks. If you're not confident with spanners/wrenches etc. you can purchase a pushfit stop end that will do the same job.....or you might just decide to call a plumber. :)
