Hi there, I’m renovating my spare room and need to remove a double of plug sockets and a pull cord light fixture. Ideally, I’d like to remove the sockets and push the wires back up into the ceiling and walls, but how do I make things safe? Surely it can’t be as easy as fitting a few terminal screw caps on the wires and pushing the wires back into the wall and ceiling, can it?

Will you be re-instating them afterwards once the renovation works are complete or not wanting them whatsoever?

Do you have access above the ceiling, by lifting floorboards above ?

How are the cables to the socket run? All sounds a bit odd is it a flat? The socket cables are trickier as they're probably on a ring circuit and need to be able to be accessed for testing & maintenance. Are you going for some kind of minimalist look.
