Removing pump - WB 24cdi

Head replaced. Old one was siezed. A bit more water came out that i expected and panel underneath got caught with some water. Im assuming its sealed under there expecting to be hit with some water at some point....dont want to turn it on if its going to short it :(

Good move no turning it on if theres even a suspicion of water in there. You can open the panel up and get a hairdryer on it for a wee while.

Alternatively, lift the panel back into position and remove the bottom section (3 screws underneath).

Then give it a good blast with a hair-dryer.

Well done - two lessons learned today.

Doh!!

I've got all the power off. Not sure what fuse is for the heating....

Not sure if this is an issue, the 2nd part, but the on/off switch has never worked. Its always on even at 0. On removing the panel at the bottom in can see that the neutral wire from the white cable(far left looking at panel) is not connected to board. Could this be why switch doesnt work?

:( im on my phone just now. No power yet to get pc running. Think im going to need to suck a mint and blow on the board. If i put the power on i'll get a pic posted.

Cheers.

Its alive! Its alive!!!!

I've managed to up a pic of the wiring - could you let me know your thoughts?

I've ran the heating and DHW and pump seems to be working ok but constant running i.e CH, its making the pressure creep up and up. Filled to 1 bar but heating took it up to 1.5 before I killed it to bring it back down. Is there a settling period or do I need to release air somewhere? I've bled the rads but not much air came out :?

Dude,

You need someone to come and check out the wiring to that boiler. Frankly I am amazed it works at all.

Do you have to have the heating running to get hot water?

I've got my screwdriver - all I need is a thread :D

No, the hot water works fine on its own. Im assuming it shouldnt due to wiring?

I think it needs an enama. The control box turns on when off at times and switch to select HW only doesnt work. I've got the radiator dial to 1 and that creeps the pressure up to 1.2 before cutting off with the rads boiling. Long and short though is I dont have the cash for a new boiler. Need to win the Euros and get CH installed in my castle in Monaco :D

p.s. thanks to everyone who helped on this thread. Your help is appreciated by all of us. Cant wait for a warm shower..... 8)
