Well, it's up to you (and, perhaps more so, the electrician).Playing devil's advocate, if the electrician were to remove the radio teleswitch surely the distribution network supplier would be none the wiser! ... It'll probably take 2 to 3 weeks for them to visit and remove it and likely a cost to myself whereas the electrician has offered to remove it! ... I'd be more inclined to just get the electrician to remove it!
To remove the teleswitch presumably would mean breaking the meter's seals, which attractions attention (particularly from meter readers) because it is precisely what people often do if they want to 'steal electricity'.
As I recently wrote, if you are changing from a dual-rate tariff to a single-rte tariff, your supplier (not DNO) will almost certainly want gto change the meter - in which case, as I said, it would seem reasonable/sensible for them to remove the teleswitch at the same time.
.. or (it's just occurred to me!) are you perhaps talking about an unused teleswitch which is not actually connected to anything?!
