I want to remove my woodburner so that I can replace the hearth with granite and then put the woodburner back in. Is there any way of doing this without the vermiculite coming out?
If the flue exits the top of the burner it should be possible to push it up enough through the register plate to allow you to pull the burner clear and disturbance should be minimal. The register plate should hold the vermiculite back.
If the flue is connected at the back, it should be possible to pull the burner forward in the same way.
