Renovating & reapiring parquet flooring

I live in North Warwicks. I have a parquet floor under a carpte that needs renovation and some small repairs. Trying to get someone to do this is a nightmare! Most tradesmen don't ring you back and it's very frustrating. I've managed to get one quote from a builder but it's way over the top.

Does anyone know how I can find a tradesman to actually do the job?

Try goggling....nicf... (national institute of carpet and floorlayers) Go into there members section and look up there approved or master installers in your area. Some members are not listed as 'wood' approved or master but try them as well. This makes no difference to weather they can do the job for you or not! Plus i bet it will barely touch double figures the amount of people with master fitter status. This is a new status to the nicf which many capable of passing have not yet taken the tests.
