Repair wood chip wallpaper

Hello,

It there a solution to repair wood chip wallpaper prior to painting?
I've moved into a new house and every room has wood chip paper. The paper is in good condition in some rooms, apart from a few patches were the paper is missing/damaged.
Is there a way to replace the missing sections and achieve a blend?
This example photo is about the size of a hand and is the largest damage section. Most are much smaller.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think it’ll look crap repaired. Imo, you’d have to rated it, or use a filler and try to achieve the stipple/bitty effect. Maybe use lining paper?
