Replace gu10 50w 240

Want to replace 6, Looks like led's are the way to go but look expensive, can someone point me at some cheap ones, dont need 50w equivalent just bulds that will go in the fittings.

These lights are in the utility room, hall & landing.
Looks like Blackpool at the moment.

I bought some LED GU10's they protrude from the spot fitting, is this normal or because they were from Ebay?
 
most are larger and will only fit properly if the lampholder is floating rather than the fixed in the fitting type as the excess length will be lost in the void above.

led versions same size as standard GU10 lamps are available but generally more expensive
 
The higher power ones are longer than the standard halogen bulbs, I have 3watt ones, and they are the same length
 
I use 5W LEDs which are the same size as 50W halogens. What brand were the lamps you bought?
