Replace Hive with Nest

Sorry, I was tired last night and wanted sleep.
old > new
Blue > N
Brown > L
Grey > 2
Black > 3
Green/yellow > earth

Depending on your wiring, it should be quite straightforward to alter it to allow the nest to control.

Hello, I think I have a similar wiring on my existing Hive. Can I follow your instruction and do the same on my new Nest wiring?

Hive - Nest

N (Both grey) - N

L (Brown/Black) - L

1 (brown) - 2

3 (blue) - 3

Earth - Earth

Many thanks for your help

Hi Feri and welcome to the forum.

Ideally you should have posed your own new thread. For future reference, tagging your question on to someone else's is known as Hi-jacking and is against the forum rules.

Anyway, I am pleased to inform you that assuming that you are replacing a single channel Hive with the Nest, you have figured it out correctly.

Wires in Hive N = Nest N
Wires in Hive L = Nest L
Wire in Hive 1 Common = Nest 2 Heating Common
Wire in Hive 3 Heating on = Nest 3 Heating call for heat

Hi Stem, Thanks for your reply and sorry about miss underestimating. I thought this is exactly the same question and situation, but definitely next time I’ll creat a new post.

Yes it’s a single ch heating only. Perfect. I’ll do it like this then.

Thanks again
