Hi Folks,

Well, I guess the developer of my block of flats got themselves a bunch of cut price obsolete Ashley & Rock Supasafe Consumer Units in 1997 since Hager took the company over in 1996. Bully for them but it means I can't find any info on the thing anywhere.

I think that the MCB for one of my lighting circuits needs replaced. It tripped and when I reset the MCB it didn't work. Trouble is I've never done this before and I'd like to try and avoid killing myself(and calling out a sparky;)).

Does anyone know how to replace a MCB in one of these things and where to get the spare part?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for that. I saw something vaguely looking like the MCB I have but I'm not sure if there are MCBs with different ratings or not. The MCBs which I have seem to be different types, e.g. for the kitchen appliances versus the lighting circuit.

I've tried calling Hager but their Tech Support line just has a message saying that they can't take my call and to call back later!

Does anyone know where I can find instructions for the consumer unit and more information on the types of MCBs?

Thanks in advance,

jahman

You need one of the same rating as you have. It will say on it what rating it is. It will probably say B6 or B10 or C6.
