Hi,

I am looking to changing 2 consumer units.
I currently have an 8-way and a 4-way Wylex fused consumer units.
All 12 fuses are used.
These are supplied through a standalone 30mA RCD.
I would like some spare capacity so 14-way or 16-way would be good.

Any suggestions or manufacturer preferences please. BG MK Wylex ? Metal/Plastic ?

Let the electrician who fits it use the one they prefer.
It will have to be metal.

It WAS for night storage. No radiators fitted any longer. It is now just part of the system, fused accordingly.

Endecotp is right. This is notifiable work so you'll need a registered electrician to do this work in any case and he will specify the CU that he works with, and carries spares for.
His trade discount will mean he can supply the CU cheaper than you can buy it for.

Personally, I would not choose any of those in your list.
