Replacing Bristan tap with easyfit

I have a Bristan Champagne sink tap which has the easifit mechanism. This means that I remove a small grub screw, pull the tap off and the pop a new one on - without having to alter any of the pipework.

My question - is this proprietary to Bristan and do I therefore have to buy another Bristan tap or is this compatible with other taps?
